Session Frequency
At Amy Brown Counseling, we understand that each individual’s journey through therapy is unique, and thus, we offer flexible scheduling to accommodate the varied needs of our clients. The frequency of sessions can be tailored to suit each person’s specific circumstances and stage of therapy. For some, particularly those navigating acute crises, meeting with a therapist twice a week may be beneficial to provide more intensive support. Others might find that weekly sessions are sufficient to progress towards their goals. For clients managing busy schedules or those who have seen significant improvements, bi-weekly or even monthly sessions might be appropriate. The frequency of therapy can always be adjusted over time in consultation with your therapist, ensuring that your mental health needs are being met effectively and efficiently.
Strengths-based, Client-Centered, Enhanced Therapeutic Techniques
To further enrich our therapy services, Amy Brown Counseling continuously integrates the latest advancements in psychological practices and therapeutic techniques. This dedication ensures that we are not only keeping pace with new developments but are also providing our clients with innovative and effective therapeutic options. Techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), directive virtual play therapy, child centered non-directive virtual play therapy, expressive therapies using art or music are available, depending on individual needs and preferences. These methodologies can be particularly effective across our diverse clientele, helping to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues in a manner that respects personal coping styles and promotes long-lasting change.
